Another sweet piece of daughter's writing. She had to write something that would tug at your heartstrings. Move over Mills & Boon ;-)
This was it, it was my time to leave. I pulled muself away from his warm, strong hold, my heart was thumping in my chest. I looked up to see his delectably dark eyes looking back down at me. They were serious, unsmiling and deliciously flecked with gold. He was irrestistable, but my holiday had come to an end and I had to go...
My family watched from inside the car, it felt as if millions of eyes were all staring at me. He reached out his arm and touched my cheek, his fingers warm and tanned. My eyes turned misty and I could feel tears coming. I blinked; took one last look at him; made my way steadly to the car; purposely not looking back.
Mum opened the door for me and I tried my best to look completely unfazed. As I closed the door I saw his perfect, sculpted face, with beautiful features: the cheek bones, pursed lips and jet black hair. As wonderful as a picture.
The car started and pulled away. I put my cold, pale hand up against the wondow and watched as he stood there longingly, until he turned into a dot in the distance.
Holiday romance, sniff :-)
